I've always loved chemistry, almost as much as biology, but my first experience with organic chemistry specifically brought on a whole new side of the subject I was not familiar with. My previous chemistry classes in high school did not ask "how?" so much, but I quickly realized organic chemistry is all about how reactions with carbon molecules occur. Learning all the rules, trends, exceptions, and reasoning skills took me a while, but I managed to get a grasp on it all midway through the quarter, and I am now excited for two more quarters of organic chemistry and the answers they can bring to the "how" questions of chemistry.
