I honestly didn't know what to expect from this required, introductory course for the honors program going in. Meeting once a week, us freshman were presented with the things we would need to do in order to graduate with honors, and we were enlightened on the resources available on campus to help us do that. More than that, though, the twelve students in the class and our lovely peer mentor, Ananya, developed our own community as we entered the UW, assisting in such a large transition. I appreciated this once-a-week class for preparing me to succeed at the University of Washington and introducing me to friends I'm sure I will see again and again.
