I took this class online, so most of the learning was done independently at my own pace. I enjoyed the material of the course because it essentially focused on complex applications of the information covered in the two preceding calculus courses, allowing for examples more closely attuned with real life. This particular class was entirely based off test scores, an aspect I didn't like because it gave no reward to for the effort made to learn, instead only rewarding the product. I enjoyed the mathematics involved, however, and am excited to continue with math classes at the UW.
Part of this class involved "journal entries," biweekly projects with few guidelines other than to find a way to apply our learning in MATH 126 to other subjects and real life scenarios. For one of my projects, I wrote a java code that can do certain vector calculations such as finding the dot and/or cross products of two vectors or finding the angle between two vectors. The submitted code is below, as well as an image of an example output that could be produced after running the code.
