I've taken plenty of calculus classes, but this one was by far the most challenging and most interesting. A good deal of the problems this course presented were procedural, but it was how the procedures were originally derived that became the focus for me. From finding the constant of integration for linear, homogeneous, constant-coefficient, second order differential equations to the Laplace transform formula, genius mathematicians have found creative ways to solve very difficult math problems. My eyes were opened not only to how to solve complex math equations, but also to how to figure out how to solve said equations. There were plenty of challenges and it was the hardest math class I have taken, but 307 helped me develop the mindset with which I will approach mathematics in the future.
