I think that probability is one of the most interesting branches of mathematics because it's such as simple concept to start with but then becomes incredibly complex the more you dive in. This course took us through a quick overview of basic probability theory, then looked at specifics, including specific types of distributions, approximations, and applications. It was especially interesting to look into the derivation of confidence intervals and expected error, since these are directly used in science, including all my work in the field of biology. I am planning on taking the full probability sequence throughout my senior year, and I am excited to get deeper into the subject and how much more complex it can get.
